Should I try to write a story?

Post by gimli »

Hello,

English is not my mother tongue, so I am really not sure I should try to write a story. In case I once decide, would anyone here be so kind to check my grammar and help me with that? I don't want to publish any total crap.

Thank you very much.

Hi, gimli If it's not too long, pm it to me and I'll give it the once-over.
They all say boxer shorts are cool,
but little Speedos always rule.

Hi,
English is also not my native language, and although most authors are native speakers, it isn't necessary. So just give it a shot!
There are numerous tools out there to check grammar. The most well-known is Grammarly. The free version can track all big errors. Moreover, Scribens can be used to make your text more readable and find synonyms. I also use Thesaurus to find more accurate synonyms and a dictionary to translate some uncommon words.
So I wouldn't be scared of the grammar. If you want me to proofread anything, just send me a pm. But note that English is also not my mother tongue.
