Excuse me. I didn't want to advertise myself, just give a few examples ; )

For me the absolutes are that my hands are tied behind my back (or maybe to the arms of a chair), my legs are secured and I'm sufficiently gagged.
Obviously there's a lot more on top of that which I enjoy, but that is what I'd say is the minimum required for me to enjoy a tug.

Hands tied behind my back, legs tied together, a tight, effective gag, a nice dress, and pantyhose/stockings are must-haves for me. Anything else in addition is a bonus.

Well an effective gag is always a must, some form of way to safely and quickly untie the sub would be a must, the ties being functional and pretty as posible unfortunately my lack of experience will make this quite hard, access to some instruments of torment would be greatly prefered, and finally of course having the sub both lucid and consenting

I need to be dressed up, tied up with rope or with tape. My wrists and ankles, thighs and arms, and I need to be gagged well!

It is assumed that if someone is tied, it means the hands and feet. More than that, is little more than "window dressing," unless a short rope is used to tie the ankles to the hands in a hog tie.

Therefore, the only real essential beyond that, would be a thick, tight cleave gag.

Gag or it isn’t really bondage. And I’ve come to really enjoyed blindfolds and earplugs while bound, so it’s almost like something is missing when they’re not used.

Lots of ropes I say is a must, everyone has their favourite ways to be bound and tied, hence more rope the better I say

If I’m the one tied up then I need a gag, tights, and some tickles. If I’m doing the tying then my bottom needs their feet oiled, a good gag, and a fun laugh!

- The tying should be done with ropes only – no duct tape or the like.

- I'm an advocate of what I call “rope economy”: it is asolutely unnecessary to wrap miles of rope around every part of the tiee's body – 3 to 5 rounds of rope in the
right places are completely sufficient to immobilize a prisoner.

- The tiee's clothing (if any) should be limited to short shorts.

- And,as mentioned before: A gag is a must.

This. Always use the safety release hoop knots when tying someone up rather elaborately (with more than two hanks of rope). Always have safety scissors within reach of the tied person. You could have a cardiac episode and theyd be unable to untie themselves and call for help to potentially save your life (four rooms is a movie that could teach ya a thing or two)!

Gags are also something you can put a "quick release" on. I will usuay stuff a sock or cloth in and leave just a little bulging out under a knotted cleave gag and a final layer of pvc tape (if you wrap it around, leave the knot to the cleave accessible). This way the stuffing will not be able to easily work its way back and choke the victim and if you need to remove a bunch of layers all at once, you can simply unknot the cleave and the whole thing comes undone. My favorite, not necessarily all my invention but I will be open to having it named after me.

I need rope to be the method of restraint, lol.

If my girlfriend is being tied, I'd like her to wear thigh high or crotchless hose, and be blindfolded.

If I'm being tied, I'd rather be nude, lol.

For me it is rope, and. Prefer to be bound to a chair or pole. A wrapped tape gagg, but an easy filling in my mouth. I don't wanna choke myself. A blindfool and pantyhose is a must have, and I really like nipple clamps
