Bondage in mainstream media tends to make me uncomfortable, especially when watching with my girl (particularly if she's strapped into her straitjacket). Simply put, there's generally an overtone that the poor damsel could be raped (or she knows she's going to be raped) and I simply don't find that appealing in any way shape of form.

I've spent time explaining to Grace that bondage with inherent, non-consensual violence isn't my thing. Even as seeing a gal tied up and struggling isn't appealing in its own right.

So far as actual bondage vids go (y'know, porn), I know enough about how that scene works to not be uncomfortable with sites such as Futile Struggles or InSex, because their models are extremely vetted; they're gals who're looking for that level of extreme, over the top bondage. The crying and screaming are generally part of the appeal for them (I also understand this because I've tied up a number of gals who'd had similar reactions).

So what you have there are professional bondage models being consensually brought to their edge and beyond by other professionals. I understand it's very cathartic.

The sites I worry about are the more amateur level sites, which generally work with younger and/or inexperienced models. They aren't aficianados of bondage and don't really understand what they're in for. I've read a number of accounts where these gals safewords were routinely ignored, they were tied up in ways that left permanent nerve damage, or they were injured in a number of other ways (falling over, being left tied up for too long, etc).

So I don't worry too much about the professionals; the the relative amateurs who concern me.
