Organizing Your Digital Media Bondage Collection

I'm in the middle of reorganizing my digital media bondage collection and also finally adding stuff I found on deviantart while I was on vacation earlier this month. It's taking me a lot longer than I thought it would and I am wondering how other people organize their collection and where do you store it. I want to eventually move it over to a new system in the future when I have the time and money to do so. So the question is how do you store and organize your bondage or self-bondage collection?l

I'm not one to give advice but nobody else has posted yet so;

I'm still switching parent's house/ university house, so everything goes at the bottom of a rucksack. Separated by 'type'; one bag for rope, one for cuffs and padlocks, one for sex stuff. In a perfect world probably something similar but a draw with dividers instead.

[mention]Abird[/mention]. Sorry I meant to say online bondage collection, not your bondage item collection. I was more looking for how people stored and organized all the photos and videos and other things they had in their digital collection.

Guess I wasn't reading so great. I actually have a better answer for that probably.

Currently I don't have enough to trouble my hard drive. I may buy a separate portable drive if it gets big enough.

I mostly just use a deep folder system - images, info (mostly tutorials), gifs, video, manips and 'light' (images which I like but don't really count as TUG stuff). Then bondage porn separately, as that's a minority of it.

Images (by far the biggest category) are then subdivided - ball, bed, blindfold, chair, gag, hogtie, suspension, wrapped, etc. Where more than one applies, whichever I feel is 'best'.

I also then have a separate folder for TieGuyUk stuff, which is separated by model.

In theory everything has a filename relating to where it came from but that would probably fall down if I tried to find a source for anything, it's mostly just so I notice if I save the same thing twice. I'm up to Tumblr546 now and that's with separating out more prolific blogs.

Back when I started collecting bondage vids back around 2005 (...damn) I would burn them to a disc, creating a "VCD". Sadly as time when on newer machines wouldn't read VCDs, so I started burning DVDs. Only burned a few of those before moving to USB drives. thumb drives, flash drives, whatever you want to call those USB sticks. I get the 32 GB ones, they can hold quite a lot of video. Within the drives I separate the vids into folders based on what company/site made it. It's pretty easy to navigate my collection. I still have to find a way to convert my old VCDs to a more
modern format, lotta classic material there. Although sometimes I gotta wonder why I let my collection get so big. I must have weeks worth of video, I'll never be able to watch it all again

i have too much so I had to organize it from A-Z. The main folder is called Bondage. Under the folder TV-bondage I have subfolders as well like tv-bondage has folders like Boundit, Ropermike etc. I also do manips so those ones are in atototal different folders that are not in the main folder.

I story my stuff on an external drive...plus (encrypted) into two web storages, just in case.
Some neat tools for indexing and identifying doublettes might come in handy if you have a lot of stuff from the net (for me, 90% of my stored stuff is my own work or that of personal friends, so I am not such a "hunter and collector" type anyway)
