Scarves?

I'm curious about the prevalence of the use of scarves in tie up stories. I have never once used scarves or been tied up with scarves. I am trying to picture what they are, how that works, and how effective it is?

I used to use scarves for self bondage when I was a teenager. While I like rope better, scarves can get the job done and still look neat.

I don't recall ever using scarves or having them used on me. Duct tape, ropes, and "ropey" things, yes, but never scarves. There are plenty of stories on here that do feature them, however (especially for gags).

Besides rope, I've always thought scarves looked the best on someone who is tied up. Still hoping one day to try it out though for myself.

When i was a kid I remember stealing my mother silk scarves and use them to tie myself up. Also gagging and blindfolding me.
Growing up i can say i still love them and in my experience, you can tie someone up very tight with silk scarves. Trust me, I've even got stucked in selfbondage several times.
Scarves are the best blindfolds and multi layered gags. With 2 or 3 silk scarves you can keep anybody in silence.
I have to say that they look awesome in both men and women. I have lots of examples myself.
