I'm wondering what most people prefer in a story/fantasy
A buff man or a skinny kind of guy?
Would that define their role in the fantasy or not?

I prefer buff guys for fantasies. They can either be my rescuer or my captor.

That's very common but it's not that rare for people who enjoy the opposite for various reasons. I personally think it makes for a more interesting story when a character's appearance is misleading.

Generally speaking I'm on the skinnier side but that doesn't really have a huge bearing on my preference for a captor. I just enjoy being in distress!

Both of these have their own appeal. Getting overpowered by big buff guys or getting humiliated by a skinny guy both sound fun.

As a heavier guy, my preference is skinny guys getting nabbed by buff or heavy ones!

In the scenarios where I'm on the receiving end of the tying, I do tend to picture myself as skinnier than I actually am.
