Prisoners of War (M or F)

Post by Deleted User 1729 »

I've noticed through browsing this site that kidnapping tends to be a common fantasy, whether as a victim or a plucky detective or something similar.

However, my favorite scenario of being tied up is the prisoner of war scenario. Being a trained, able warrior taken prisoner and carried off into captivity has always been quite appealing to me.

So I was wondering: are there any other like-minded individuals out there? Anyone else super into prisoner of war stuff?

If so, what are some scenarios and stories that you like? If not, I'm curious as to what makes that not appealing, or not as appealing as other capture scenarios.

I like those stories sometimes. I'm more into spy situations, which can sometimes cross into POW territory depending on the situation. This is one time I prefer a little more fantasy in the situation, such as knights escorting a princess getting ambushed and taken prisoner as the princess is used as a bargaining chip, or some similar situation.

Ooh, I like that idea with the knights! Are there any particular stories you've encountered with that happening?

That would be fine. World War II onwards would be nice.

No, but it's so specific I feel like there's one thing that had to have inspired it. I just can't remember what it was.

I'm really into prisoners of war. There's lots of fanfic potential about Fire Emblem or Game of Thrones characters being captured in battle and imprisoned.

Yeah, I get you! It's just something about a well-trained, formidable person being taken prisoner against their will and despite their best efforts.
