Tied up games as sport?
There could be several tests:
- The hojojutsu equated to Karate and Judo.
- The escapism of the strings timed.
- The time they could hold with their elbows tied or in a hogtied the participants.
Although honestly, I see complicated that most countries saw them as sports events, not to mention certain associations that would quickly put the cry in the sky if a certain sex were to participate.
It is rather unthinkable at present.

I am a man with the role of Rope top/Rigger, I have been attacked by the Tugs since I was a child. Both without sexual components, and with them within my limits.
Or...competition?
Two people tied up, and have to hop from one place to another, whoever gets to that other place first wins.
Or they have a certain amount of time to pick up something, they have an idea where it is, but they are tied up, hands behind the back, and blindfolded.

Well lots,of the track and field events lend themselves to bondage. Bound hand and foot 100m, high njump,,long jump, gagged and blindfold for extra,handicap. Then 100m hurdles,toed up. Hogtied 100m.
Then of course plain escape races. Tied up wrestling too.

Interesting....bondage as a sporting event?
Being into bondage and various types of sports gear myself I do find myself coming up with bondage scenarios for just about every sport thanks to my runaway imagination.
Such as soccer: goalie arms can be tied to goal and try to kick the ball away. I have thought about starting sports leagues for bondage lovers but they already exist since people on various leagues around the world have varying degree's of interest in it... they just don't openly talk about it.
Being into bondage and various types of sports gear myself I do find myself coming up with bondage scenarios for just about every sport thanks to my runaway imagination.

Being gagged would make it much harder to exercise because you couldn't breathe in as much air. Which has me wondering now if that's a way to increase your cardio, or if it would backfire.
