I remember reading a suggestion in Forum magazine a long time ago for a roleplay scenario. The magazine suggested being tied in old clothes that you didn't mind ripping or losing, that you be tied to a bannister in the hall with your hands above you. (Improvisation for people who don't have dungeons with a rack lol).

Then the 'kidnapper' cut the 'victim's' clothing off.

Nowadays of course you can find some equally effective hooks that fasten to the top of a household door, and you get free access to the clothes for removal and the arms are nicely out of the way. Also useful, if your bannister isn't capable of being used for tying, but I still think it's cool. Especially, if you're improvising...
