This has nothing to do with TUGS; I simply wanted to share something with our friends here. If the moderators feel it should be deleted for being as off topic as one can get, I'll understand.
A few minutes ago, our youngest and her boyfriend left here for a normal school dance. Normal, as the only ones left for her will be the Valentine's Day and Prom events. And then she graduates, and goes to a trade school.
And, most likely, out of here and on her own.
While she'll still be close by, it won't be here. And I'm left wondering where the time has gone. Things certainly won't be the same here.
Don is torn. On one hand, he's not really happy at all about his little girl being a grown up just yet. On the other hand, we're both proud of her and her accomplishments.
And he did point out our living room is a lot bigger than our bedroom, and our TUGS activities will reflect that. Yes, his mind never seems to stray from such ideas, lol.

Family is the ultimate TUG
The families ties that bind, hold us the tightest and safest.
The March of time is inevitable, but not to be fearer. Life and relationships are sweetened by the passing of time.
Even when she leaves, she will be there in your heart and will always return.

One of the best/worst moments you’ll have to go through. Even though you went through it already, it won’t be any easier. I’m the youngest of five, so my parents had five high school graduations and five first days of college. My mom cried every. Single. Time. Even the fifth time. I can speak from experience when I say we always come home. Sometimes to do laundry, sometimes to eat all the food, but always because we miss home. I know how smart and strong-willed and independent she is, but I also know she loves her family.
Having said all that, the opportunity for more TUGs is good news!

wolfman and Tightsbound, thank you both.

Hi Emma!
I couldn't agree more with TightsBound.
Leaving the nest is always hard for the parents.
I felt that when my bigger bro moved out, mum was so sad for a long time before accepting it and me too.
Next year it will be my turn becouse...
Well...
I said YES.
Look at the positive side, they fly away soon becouse, you were a good parents, you raised them well and you taught them to walk on their own.
You should be proud eheheh.

Thanks for sharing, Emma. It's definitely a big life change and, like all changes, will take some getting used to. I'm sure you did a fine job with her, though, and there's always phone calls, visits, all that good stuff
Thank you, Hannah.
