I would suggest a new forum or sub forum be established: "Adult Talk."

I have seen more than my share of material posted in "general interest" areas, involving bondage in underwear, or even naked, sometimes even kids, which borders on pornography." The majority of our members are in the United States, but some of our foreign members seem to forget, or are not aware, that in most US jurisdictions, the images and/or depictions (pictorial or written) of kids bound nude, or in underwear, are considered pornographic, and the mere possession such material, can land you in jail, and brand you as a "sex offender."

OK, I may come off as something of an alarmist, but as the adage goes, "It's better to be safe, than sorry." Anything that involves adult nude bondage, or bondage in underwear, should have its own adult forum. Anything involving pre-pubescent kids (13 or under) having sexual, or implied sexual, feelings, should be edited to exclude them. Anything involving kids (17 and younger) having sex, should be deleted. I think we are getting a little too lax in this respect, and that the mods need to monitor the board more closely.

"U.S. law distinguishes between pornographic images of an actual minor, realistic images that are not of an actual minor, and non-realistic images such as drawings. The latter two categories are legally protected unless found to be obscene, whereas the first does not require a finding of obscenity"

In other words, pictures featuring child pornography are illegal, drawings or fictional stories are not under US law (see Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition)

I agree that any photograph featuring a REAL child should be banned from the forum (and I think that rule already applies to this forum). We aslo do not accept any picture or drawing that despicts nudity (understood as male and female genitalia and female breasts) and if you find one, feel free to report it to us mods so we can delete it.

As for written stories depicting minors in intimate situations, I have do disagree with what you are proposing. It's perfectly normal for a preteen/ teen kid to have sexual feelings and reactions and even for older teens to engage in sexual acts and there are several mainstream novels that depict those acts and feelings, specially when dealing with comming of age stories and sexual awakening so I completely disagree with censoring them here

If you have moral ojections to those depictions, then I advice you to ignore those stories as there are other members of the board who do the same.

And just so you know, we do take a look at reported stories featuring sex between minors in a case-by-case basis and have deleted those that we considered offensive or disturbing enough so it's not that we are giving users here a free reign to post whatever they'd like regarding minors

I don't think it's as much court cases or state or federal laws, but rather "community standards." The server is privately owned, and may, or may not be based in the US. If the server owner/operator doesn't like something, he/she can cancel or delete it, and there is seldom any appeal or recourse, And it doesn't matter what the law says.

That being the case, why were Max's CGI (computer generated image) comics taken down? (Admitted, they do look realistic, but I could tell they were CGI's, and even told Jason Toddman they were CGI's.) There wasn't anything pornographic about any of the panels, and yet, they were deleted.

But, whatever. "You have to go along, to get along," so I'll go along with the decisions. Merry Christmas.

I think this is more of a morals thing, and with this being a online community we should leave the moral decisions of the content to the content creators. That being said i have no problem with stories depicting such act as it is the creative thoughts of the creator of the content ( in this case stories). but on the topic of photos of minors, i agree on the rules that are in place.
