Stories of Tie Up Games

Just had a thought for an interesting story where a certain bloodline of family seems to get constantly captured and tied up by their enemies. For example, there could be a bloodline of royalty that rules a nation, and over the centuries this nation keeps getting invaded, with the leader ultimately being tied up (as is part of their ‘heritage’). Or maybe a single person finds themselves reincarnated over many generations and their destiny seems to be getting tied up by their enemies. Lemme know if this sort of idea interests you!
