You just made me wonder and look whether there even is a like button on this site. Well played and well written!
Interesting premise.
For the kids' end of it, I would suggest "No crotch ropes," and no ties, photos or not, that would be, or even might be, considered pornographic.
If the "subject" wants to be untied, untie him immediately. No questions asked.
Different scenarios for kids, to make things more fun. "Home alone (or with a friend or two sleeping over) and tied up by burglars;" "Snoopy kid(s) captured and tied up by crooks," Camping out, and captured/kidnapped by rivals or crooks." You get the idea.
Where possible, tie two (or more) kids in close proximity. This is based on the theory that "Adventure and/or danger, real or imagined, is always more fun and exciting, when it it shared." (More so with a best friend or sibling, but an acquaintance, or even a rival is OK, too.)

Sounds like it's the right place for the post.
Putting it in TUGs links would probably give completely the wrong idea.
Shame, really.

Really fun stories and concept.
As a future story idea, perhaps the parents do something like a "Secret Santa" only instead of gifts they draw which kids they'll be "Kidnapping" for a day or two.

Spooky old abandoned mansions/"haunted" houses, mysterious caves, and "ghost towns," offer endless possibilities.

I really enjoyed and appreciated this post, it made the idea of your site and world building for your stories more real. Great work
Young imaginations sometimes come up with unusual ideas. One that everyone in my circle of friends liked, came from a TV show or movie, long forgotten, where the plot involved a young boy, 12-13 years old, who was home by himself, and was kidnapped. The kidnappers forgot to bring rope, so took a sheet from the kid's bed, and ripped three strips from it, which they used to tie his hands and feet, and gag him.
We all thought that was kind'a neat, so we went to the local thrift store, and bought a couple of sheets (25 cents each at the time), and tore strips lengthwise (7-8 feet long) from them. We told our parents they were bandages for our boy scout first aid kits. (which was mostly true) The next day, for some unknown reason, some of us were at Billy's house, just goofing around, and someone said "Let's tie up Billy!"
Since he was outnumbered, and fighting was useless, Billy gave up right away, but had one request: "Do me like that kid on TV the other night. Tie me up with the bandages!"
We did, and from that time, whenever any of us got tied with the bandages, he was said to be "kidnapped."

Between the ages of 9 and 15, we played many games where getting tied up (and gagged) was part of the game. See my post in the "TUGS Talk thread, under "Actual Games."
