The stories here of course aren't free of these things, this isn't bad, in fact its completely normal.

Are there any tropes or cliches you would like to see less? Some you would like to see more?

I think that, to an extent, most stories have some fictional aspect to them. I don't want to be a downer but keep in mind she might not be into tying you up for the sake of it, it may be fun for you but to her it may mean taking time to tie you up and then just hang around, not being able to do much with you since you're tied up.

I know I already commented but since people are saying ancient China, that reminded me of Japan around the same era, lets not forget that they had a whole martial art about tying people up.

Out of those, victorian era.

If I can add some of my own preference it would be either middle ages or golden age of piracy.
