Well done and quite a different approach. As a fan of short tales, I like the way this allows the reader to fill in the backstory. My only question: Why wouldn't he want to come back? Sounds like a good time to me.

You always manage to expose us to foreign (atyipical) scenarios in such a brilliant and flowing manner, that no lengthy introduction is required. As a whole, the stories you've posted on here, start out a little vague, but quickly end up making sense as you progress into them. By the end, we're always left flabbergasted and amazed at the intricacies of your writing and at the clever plots you so eloquently manage to wrap up together.
