As for the initial poll, though it wouldn't have influenced Steven's choice, I was quite pleased about it going Big Mike's way as well. Steven tries to give everyone some screen time (Bob and Zack will soon have their turn), but I'm pretty sure Mike ended up being the main feature in the first account, what with the smothering handgag and his socks & shoes being used and all.

Yes, Ethan is in a rather... Enviable non-enviable position. For this poll, I believe I chose No as if I was in Steven's position, most of my energy would be focused on the respectable but devious actions of Jeremy. The other boys were just doing as they have been instructed, plus I doubt Steven or I in this situation would be new to this idea of being trussed up and tucked away.

Look, you know I adore Mitch and Bob. Part of me would really want one of them, and I'd probably go with the boyish charm and cruelty of Mitch; but the other part of me wants to stay true to the assignment you had given me with Shawn as I cannot help but agree that we would be a good pairing personality wise.

Heh, I'm more into the others guys, but Zack would be especially well-tuned to someone who's doing this as their first time.

My personal impression is that Andrew is more into the restriction aspect and not actually the person being tied up. While his appearance may be less intimidating, his style and manner wouldn't be the best, in my opinion, to give a newbie sub his first time.

Zack is playful (generally and as a dom), emotionally intelligent (his command of his own emotions and empathy/understanding of others), compassionate (see basically his entire set of appearances in B&G), and unlike many of the others on this list, seems to care more about the person inside the bondage than solely how securely they are restricted and how they can be tormented.

Bob, Mitch, and Andrew fall under playful tormentors (inasmuch as they focus on torture and taunting in a very masculine and nonsexual way)

Ryan and Brad fall under the sadistic archetype for me, in that they get pleasure out of proving themselves more dominant and in control than their sub, and even appreciate outright terrifying their subs.

Nick falls somewhere between those categories, being a playful tormentor, but with a defined sexual energy and a need for dominance to his style.

Shawn and Corey seem to me like followers. They're not necessarily interested in instigating a bondage situation but are happy to join in on it when it happens but they have a lack of either desire or initiative to start it.

Leaving Zack as the only one I'd consider an actual dom in the BDSM sense. In that he acknowledges his sub as a person beyond an object of torture or pleasure and actually seems to derive enjoyment from his sub having a good (if tormentous) time. Making him the ideal candidate.

Great analysis! I too tend to see Nick as falling in between two categories as well. I had to go back and see how I categorised him on the Bondage-giver/Captor scale, and aside from "assertiveness" and "excessiveness" Nick really does fall flush in the middle.

It came down to Nick and Zack for me as they are the only two capable of a little romance along side the bondage. I agree with the other comments that Zack has the better personality for scenarios like this. I don't think he would leave a sub with a negative first experience. Nick perhaps wouldn't prioritise the sub's emotions as much

I went with Officer Bob for this poll because as a cop, I think he has a good handle on safety. Some of the others may take things a bit far for someone with no experience.

Though seriously speaking, I voted for Andrew because he has really grown into me. I would really love more getting into his head/perspective. Though outside of my clear bias of Andrew, I think he would be best suited to offer a new initiate-sub his first ever real bondage experience because he went through it both, as a captive and as the one executing the bondage.

I shortlisted Zack, Nick, and Bob. Zack feels like he would be the most considerate whilst firm and would explain the goal of what he does to you and would convince you to accept it.

Nick would be caring too but he comes across as cold especially for a newbie.

Bob would have a cop’s approach across the board and would not really make a difference for a newbie.

Zack has my vote.
