Itera and the Sexy Space Babes (M/F)

Hey all! It's been a while since I posted a story on here, this is my first attempt in a while and it turned out quite long, I don't really have a plan for this one so I'm open to some ideas. Don't know how popular Sci-fi as a genre is on here so I'm giving it a shot. This first post is a slow burn, mostly exposition and setting things up, I've already got a couple of main female characters lined up that will make their appearance in the next post.
Just for a bit of context the world I've set up takes place far into the future, where humans have long since left Earth and have been a space-faring race for long enough that other sub-groups of humans have evolved in different ways. In the lawful areas of the galaxy, the Republic rules but everywhere else is chaos, rampant with war, piracy and slavery.

Grand Admiral and High Lord Kyman Vinnes of the Itera Defense Fleet stared out across the 'battlefield' with a pleased grin on his face. He was currently standing on the bridge of the Obsidian, the largest and only dreadnaught size battleship that Itera possessed, spread out all across the uninhabited solar system was the vast majority of the Iteran Fleet and directly in front of the Obsidian was the battered remnants of the Envaran navy. Over two-thirds of the entirety of the Envaran navy lay before him, their ships rendered useless, and more than thirteen thousand prisoners taken over the course of just four days. With a satisfied grin, Kyman turned away from the viewport and instantly knew that with this one victory the more than twenty-year war between Itera and Envara had finally come to an end.
Kyman had taken over command of the Iteran navy less than one year ago, after his idiot of a predecessor finally came to his senses and stepped down recognizing that he did not have the skill or knowledge to win this war. It was almost too late, Iteran naval forces had lost more ground in two years than the past eighteen combined and they were on the brink of being pushed into their home solar system, which would have been a catastrophic defeat. The Envarans had invented a new type of long-range weapon which outclassed anything the Iterans could bring to bear, far out of Iteran naval range the Envarans were able to easily pick off the Iteran ship one by one. In fact, most Envaran technologies surpassed that of the Iterans. Itera for all its beauty and majesty was a world of commerce and trading, war was secondary to those goals. Only in two very specific fields of technology did Itera truly surpass that of the Envarans, and Kyman made sure to bring those to the forefront of his military strategy.
He recognized that fighting in the conventional style would lose him every battle as it did the old Grand Admiral, Sulvan Duzac, so instead Kyman used the one thing that Envarans could not resist. He selected this uninhabited solar system with its blue dying neutron star far enough from the front lines that the Envarans would not suspect it was his doing but also close enough that he could manoeuvre his fleet into position without alerting the Envaran scouts. Along with his fleet he hauled three derelict ships and placed them close to a moon orbiting around the system's largest gas giant, which happened to be extremely close to the system's sun. The Iteran fleet then arrayed themselves behind one of the many moons or behind the gas giant itself and then all the ships powered down completely except for life support systems. This close to the massive radiation fields coming off the neutron star meant their ships would not be detected at all by Envaran tracking signals.
From the three derelict ships, a broadcast began blasting across all frequencies, it was carefully created, the broadcast appeared to be sent by a trio of ships operated by the Cult of Ghoz'a, a famously all female Cult that only accepted virgins into their ranks to worship their god. The broadcast claimed that the Cult members were on their bi-annual holy pilgrimage to the sacred sites of Ghoz'a when they were set upon by ten Slaver ships. Envarans hated nothing more than Slavers, and especially Slavers who decided to attack a peaceful all female religious organization. Kyman anticipated that the Envarans would send an overwhelming force to put a stop to the slave raid, however, he did not expect seventy-eight ships to make an appearance and amongst them all three dreadnaughts that the Envarans possessed. They had probably wished to send a message to the Slavers, in any case, the ambush was about to turn into the most devasting naval defeat in over a thousand years.
The Envaran fleet closed the distance with the derelict ships, now well within range of Iteran blaster fire and at a distance where the Envaran long-range weaponry would be far less effective. However, Kyman had something more ingenious planned than a simple attack with blasters, and he was going to put to use one of Itera's two technological advances. Once the Envaran fleet was within range Kyman gave the order and the Obsidian woke and along with it all the other Iteran naval ships within visual range did the same. Before the Envarans could react to this newfound threat Kyman gave the order and every Iteran ship blasted their short range EMP weapons, as the blasts radiated outwards every Envaran ship it hit suddenly found that all its systems stopped working. No weapons, no engines, no gravity fields, nothing at all, of course, Envaran ships were shielded against EMP waves just like every advanced spacefaring race had on their ships. Yet, this type of shielding was useless against Iteran EMP weaponry, a powerful predator native to Itera, stacciks, was immune to most types of damage so Iterans had been forced to adapt and develop new ways of stopping this creature from terrorising them. Turned out the EMP waves fried the staccik's brains from the inside and instantly killed it, this tech was developed thousands of years ago but Iterans had been refining the technology ever since crafting the most powerful EMPs in the galaxy. But Iterans being traders, did not think of implementing a version of these ground-based EMPs for space combat, but Kyman recognised their potential and as soon as he took over command of the navy one year ago he put every available scientist and engineer he could get his hands on to the task of developing this weapon.
The results spoke for themselves, seventy-eight ships disabled and hung uselessly throughout the planet's orbit, with not a single loss to any of his own ships. Then Kyman put to use the other significant technological advantage that the Iterans possessed, their exo-skeletons. Due to the harsh tropical nature of Itera, its people pretty early on had to create ways of withstanding the extreme temperatures, and wildlife that the planet possessed. The solution, a series of bone, muscle and nerve implants that gave what was a normal human body a massive set of upgrades, everything from strength, speed, adaptability and endurance. Every man and woman native to the planet used to possess one, these days the exo-skeletons weren't as crucial to the Iterans' survival as they had been in the past mostly due to the large habitat domes that kept them safe from the planet's dangers but the Iteran nobility kept up the tradition that their ancestors began by enhancing their bodies through the use of these exo-skeletons.
Very early on in the war, the Envarans learned not to fight the Iterans on land, those early battles were all ridiculously easy victories for the Iterans with their special forces easily dispatching any and all Envaran resistance. It was mostly for this reason that the war had progressed for so long with Envaran fleets winning in the skies but their armies unable to hold any territory once on land. Now though with the Envaran fleet rendered useless, Kyman gleefully sent out the Hallowed, the Iteran special forces, to move from one Envaran ship to the next subduing and capturing every last female aboard. With eighty-seven ships the process was a long-one but now four days later and thirteen thousand new slaves to bring to Itera, Kyman could relax and enjoy his well-deserved victory over those despicable man-haters.
