Duct tape. I love the sound of it when it comes off the roll, and the feeling of it clinging to my mouth, sealing it shut. That being said, I'd love to try microfoam tape. It looks like it would feel so sexy pressed over my mouth.

I like to use lots of stuff, but as far as favourites go, I think I have to opt for duct tape/gaffer tape.
It's simply too versatile and all-around useful to be overlook.

Plus, like [mention]Tapelips92[/mention] mentions, the sound it makes is hot...especially if you use thick, ultra sticky industrial grade stuff. It's more lower pitch than the cheap "corner store" brands.

Don't care for the residue of tape much.

I can't say it's my favorite, but I think good ol' muscle and sinew is an underrated material. There's nothing more fun than snatching your victim, wrestling them to the floor, then holding them down as you apply more permanent bindings.

Plus, a properly applied handgag is one of the most effective ways to silence someone.
