Police Leg Restraints

I've got a friend who's in the police and the other day she mentioned how they carry leg restraints.
Naturally I asked about them and she googled them and showed me this:



They're basically just long velcro straps I think.

Has anyone ever used anything like these? I'm interested in hearing what they feel like and if they do a decent job of securing your legs.

Yes, the Police have used them for over a Decade Now.

You are legally able to purchase them as A Civilian, I have been restrained with them and restrained RP Partners with them, Police roleplay is my favourte.

They were just being introduced when I retired ten years ago. Very effective restraint.
