When I was a full-time student at University there was a Bondage Club which met every Monday evening and we had a great time. I made a lot of really wonderful friends, many of whom I am still in contact with.

There was NO requirement to, but some of wore university t-shirts and/or sweatshirts/hoodies to meetings and some wore fully university sportswear.

A lot of universities have BDSM clubs, but ours was purely bondage.

wow, there was nothing like that in Dublin, at least as far as I'm aware. I still don't think I would have joined being so embarrassed about it.

I do remember at the beginning of first and second year, there would be "hits" done at one of the lectures in the first week, where at the end, one of the societies would burst in through all the doors of the lecture theatre and grab members of the audience out of their seats, drag them to the front and tape them up individually or together, before leaving. They'd probably grab about 10 people in total. I simultaneously wanted to be grabbed and not want it because I didn't want to be seen to be enjoying it lol

Edinburgh is THE greatest place on the entire planet - there is a real "live and let live" culture here.

I hadn't realised it was the hotbed of hedonism and debauchery!

Damn, I wish. Somebody tried to set up a kink society at my university but they mostly just got made fun of and I don't think it ever amounted to anything.

Though I have met a few other kinky people through university. Good place for experimentation, I suppose. Amusingly, found several while playing Dungeons & Dragons.

My college didn't have anything like this but then again, I don't think a club like this could exist at an American university. Of course, college has changed a lot since I graduated.

I've heard of such clubs, though never personally encountered one.

I remain convinced that a BDSM university club is a great setting for a TUG story, either short or long term.

Unfortunately, this club does not appear to be running now. Paul and Katie are UofE students now and hopefully Tina (Katie's cousin) will go there when she finishes school. It saddens me a club we enjoyed and they would enjoy isn't there anymore.

Austrian Universities suddenly seem so dull, in comparison.

Can't they found a new club like that?

I find it very difficult to imagine myself, and I only graduated 6 years ago. The school itself is relatively liberal but the state is *extremely* conservative, so that might have something to do with it, too.
