Real life tie ups, not a game?

I found an interesting archived story called Home Robbery:
https://tugstories.com/viewtopic.php?p=112559#p112559
The writer says it is a true story and it is certainly well written (minus a few grammatical errors) whether it is true or not. The amount of detail makes it seem quite real. This got me to wondering, has anyone on here been tied up for real, not part of a game (prank, etc.), as in this story? I would think it would be somewhat rare. If so, please share your experience if you feel comfortable doing so?

Wow! Scary! Bondage is fun when it’s someone you know and trust doing the binding. This one wasn’t fun

It was archived under Fiction Stories for Everyone but the text says it is true. It certainly reads as if it is true. If it is fiction, the writer has a good imagination.

If you dig through the archives of the original site you can find some true stories: https://www.asstr.org/~canuck100/

I don't know about real life but my favourite fictions what involve tie ups are usually those what are very much real in terms that the characters involved are actually kidnapped and is not a game.

I enjoy bondage between myself as a consenting adult and another consenting adult man. I enjoy writing M/M tie up adventures.

Real life experiences are not the same. My grandmother was the victim of a home burglary, where she was left handcuffed and tape-gagged from early in the morning until mid-afternoon, when she was in her late seventies. The burglar threatened her. It was harrowing and frightful for her.

Fantasy and make believe is one thing. Real life is entirely different.

Like to clarify that the story isn’t true, as it’s been stated before that the story is posted in the fictional section. I wrote it as if the protagonist, who is a fictional character, was sharing her experience of a real situation.

Well you did a very good job of making it seem real. I hope you write some more.

I'd not really be interested in such stories. When they're fictional its all good but it becomes more troubling than exiting when its real people.

This is fictional, but depicts four boys being tied up by burglars:
