Do you know any songs about tying up? How about we collect some here!

I can think of three, two of them in German:

Madonna: Hanky Panky (M/F, female submissive narrator)

Element of Crime: Sperr mich ein (F/M, male submissive narrator)

Ärzte: Sweet sweet Gwendoline (F/M, M/F, male switcher narrator)

I hope that way of gender tagging makes sense ... Do you know any with a dominant narrator? I wouldn't mind some in other languages either; internet can translate anything, right?

Oh, and PS: Of course there's a lot of BDSM songs, but I'd like them to at least mention the tie-up part. E.g. Madonna is more about spanking, too, but it qualifies for the line "tie my hands behind my back and ooh, I'm in ecstasy" -- we can all relate to that, can't we?

Here I'd like to have a playlist of songs about tying up.
There are some which have just one line, e.g. "Tie me to a post and block my ears" in Mumford and sons "Cave".
Or "when I get to heaven, tie me to a tree" in Lee Marvin "Wandering star" --- yes, that would be heaven, right?

Unfortunately, I do not have a copy of the lyrics, but back in the late 70s or early 80s one of the people in my social circle wrote a parody of the Simon & Garfunkel song "Homeward Bound" as "Whipped and Bound", as sung by a person who wants to be.

Well, here’s a recent one that surprised me:

“Under Your Skin” by Shaman’s Harvest.

Now, this band is pretty awesome…they blend classic rock & Southern rock, with a dash of country to give it that twang.

But occasionally, they do some songs like this…the music video also has some DiD content in it.

That being said, the lyrics and the video are a bit “dark” for my own personal taste…but hey, it’s definitely a song about tying someone up.

Some lyrics:

“I wanna keep you in silence down in the dark
Come on, let's lock up your soul, put a chain on your heart
I'll never let you go and nobody is coming, it's true.”

“Let's cover the window
And blot out the sun
There's nowhere for you to run.”

It's really more of a metaphor about fear and/or depression, but the lyrics of Fireflight's song "Escape" do reference being tied up and invokes a general imagery of someone, well, escaping.

First lyrics of the song:

"My hands are tied, they're going numb
I don't know where they've brought me
My throat's torn raw from all my screams
But no one can hear me"

"Fun with Ropes" by the GoGos. Not a famous song, but clearly about rope-play. Written by Jane Wiedlin who is a proud BDSM-fan.

I recall Prince being tied to a bed by two women in the video for Automatic, and I think the lyrics had some of it as well. The Prince song Darling Nikki - about a girl who had every sex toy money could buy - is in my imagination at least partly about these things as well.

Another very nice and great song that may not be directly about bondage itself but which gets tied up in the video is "Beautiful Dangerous" by Slash feat. Fergie : )

Meanwhile, I've listened to all those songs called "Attache-moi", but most don't get more specific and, as @Kyle said, it's more kind of a metaphor. Best one is the one by Clarika, "tie me, pull tight the ties, chain me up"...

Oh, and: Taylor Swift, "Dancing with our hands tied", permission to take this literally...?

I suppose Something for the Weekend would have been a more obvious choice for Divine Comedy, but BGTK has more depth!

Funny how Noone has mentioned tied to the whipping post by the Allman brothers.

In the video for “Street of Dreams” by Rainbow, the girl is kidnapped, tied to a chair and gagged. A bit weak, but there are a couple cute shots
