Suggestion for Series vs. One-Offs

Post by MaxRoper »

I have a number of semi-complete stories of maybe 1,500 to 2,000 words (each) about Eddie. Eddie likes to tie people up (usually men) and has turned it into a career. Each story is a stand-alone but Eddie is in them all.

I can't decide if it would be better as a single post with chapters, or separate posts as short stories. There will probably be significant gaps between some posts while others may come in rapid succession. There appear to be at least six tales.

Any advice?

Thanks!

Give your fans time to read ech story before posting the next regardless of the decision you make.

As they are different stories, different threads would probably be better. I at least expect each story in a thread to be selfcontained. You also get more chances that others find your work. Each thread gives you new exposure. With only one thread, you also get only one chance.

But you need some name for all threads that make clear that these stories are connected, and some way to know which stories come before which, if there is continuity. Like "Tales of Eddie: First Tale - Eddie meets Spiderman". I'd also suggest to post the story and, at the end of the post, have links to all the other "Eddie" stories. That way I could easily find the next story, if I want to read more.
