Quite simply, doesn't seem to be working.

It works just fine. People just generally dont know the difference between a link and a URL code. Hence why so many on here are posting photos that dont even work/dont show up.

DeviantArt and Flickr both work fine.
Both are used in the same manner.

You need to make sure that what you are putting in the image tag is indeed the image link and not the website where the image is displayed. Refer to this post by me on an image thread for further details specifically regarding deviantArt.
