I wonder what’s the story behind the cinnamon tradition. Does anyone know?

The cinnamon represents a symbol of fertility. The custom is traditionally reserved for those who are still unmarried by their 25th birthday as a way to bring good luck in finding a mate, but judging from the number of videos posted my guess is it’s too much fun to pass up no matter what their friend's relationship status is.

In Brazil there is something similar in the birthday party but not always the person is tied, fortunately when I was caught I ended up tied
