I am looking for stories about perhaps burglars tying up a whole family. Maybe parents see their kids get tied up and gagged in various ways?

Or kids seeing their parents tied and gagged; could be a lone burglar or a wife's jilted paramour, or a criminal couple in control of the parents as the horrified children watch
