Story idea that I'm just throwing oy into the aether.

A husband and wife move into a new town with a 1950s aesthetic. Thry attend free couples counseling provided by the town. All the husbands in town seem to call the shots in the marriage and the wives seem to obey. Long story short, all the women were hypnotized to submit to punishment with the phrase "Hush Dear" and usually are bound and gagged for punishment.
