Welcome Lexi. The board admins decided a while back to implement a 10 post minimum before allowing messages. This worked great because the spam bots seemed to have stopped. Seems like you posted 4 times already, so just comment or post 6 more times and then you'll be able to send messages.

Just for the record, there are 23513 members of this site, and a quick check suggests that at least 18000 of those are spambots. What the restrictions do, however, is leave those bots powerless.
