Didn't expect that tidbit of information to show up here, nice! Also amusingly enough the one time I had to get a dislocated toe reset I was complaining about Math Methods to distract from the pain![]()
Loving how ppl are using darl or darling sarcastically like the narratorVolobond wrote: ↑3 years ago Sorry, darl, but the crime of disrupting a serious gamer's session without even a simple warning ABSOLUTELY warrants a punishment...though I will admit this was perhaps a tad harsh - those socks look disgusting!
But, as they say, don't do the crime if you can't do the time!
An awesome story with a great narrator, and I'm really glad to have caught this one!
Pretty ballsy of you to be speaking to the Mighty Volo in such a manner, buddy-boi.
Oh, what's so mighty about him?bondagefreak wrote: ↑3 years agoPretty ballsy of you to be speaking to the Mighty Volo in such a manner, buddy-boi.
It sure sounds like the narrator ain't the only one in need of a tight roping and some socks to keep him from spouting heressy!
I think our narrator is quite outspoken, don't you thinkLockedCheeseBird wrote: ↑3 years ago Nice ending! Now I'm looking forwards to a narrator/Ethan story, of course![]()
*Starts chanting CROSSOVER, CROSSOVER, CROSSOVER!*
Anyway, where was I? Ah, yes, the story. Those socks seem absolutely foul, I understand the reluctance there. But if Mr. Narrator had learned when to keep his mouth shut, he probably could have avoided it. Now he just got a little bit of sticky help to reinforce the lesson.
Love the tidbits of information and the general nerdiness that the narrator emanates. As a historian, I can identify with that.If only I had an older brother like that walking around somewhere...

Really nicely done! Do you have plans for new stories already? I really hope you do, this was great, so I want more!
You misunderstand me, friend! A most punishable narrator, but a great writing style by the author!OrdinaryWorld wrote: ↑3 years ago Hol' up, you think the narrator deserves a punishment, but you like he is "great"? What a man of contradictions![]()
I am the Mighty Volo, binder of men great and small, master of methods most malignant in the art of capture and enslavement, Tickler Extraordinaire, and Master of the Company, which you may have read aboutOrdinaryWorld wrote: ↑3 years agoOh, what's so mighty about him?bondagefreak wrote: ↑3 years agoPretty ballsy of you to be speaking to the Mighty Volo in such a manner, buddy-boi.

The narrator DOES NOT appreciate your casual sadism. He still thinks it was undeserved!
Well, I suppose the emotional pain of Maths Methods is good for something![]()
Christ, I'm so tempted to drop down to General/Further.
Much appreciated!OrdinaryWorld wrote: ↑3 years ago And yes, I was flexing my knowledge of Euro politics![]()
Chucked that in so that it isn't just my fellow Victorians who are getting all the cultural references.
Are we more of a PvdA person? D66? FvD?![]()
Ooooh, that's my plan. No clue if it's actually worth it or if there's a single job in it though, what's your advice?
Ah, so I can see why you were disappointed at the election resultsLockedCheeseBird wrote: ↑3 years ago Much appreciated! And I'm quite on the left of the whole political spectrum, so more GroenLinks (GL, our Greens). But PvdA is also perfectly fine, they don't differ all that much anymore nowadays. You didn't pick the easiest country, politically seen, with our 17 (or 18 by now) political parties!
And it seems like our narrator isn't the only one with a big mouth, looking at the conversation above![]()
If you do well enough their are options. Specifically you can gun for graduate programs (give them a look they advertise early in the year and require you to either finish or be finishing a degree). I’d look with DFAT or DPMC. Or you can try and get policy work if you specialise better than I didOrdinaryWorld wrote: ↑3 years agoOoooh, that's my plan. If it isn't too personal, which uni?
