Are Lots Of Nurses Kinky?

Recently I was training to crew on a replica of a 92’ schooner that was built in 1851. Sailing always involves lines and knots so part of the training was on handling both of them. I was pretty good with knots so when a cute young nurse was having trouble tying a rolling hitch I volunteered to help.
You use this hitch to tie a rope to another rope or to a pole such as a boom. I offered my wrist as a “pole” to help her learn.
She seemed enthusiastic about it. So much so that as she was working the line around my wrist she said, “Girls rule and boys drool!” I got a little bit excited hearing that!
But when I emailed her after training (they handed out a contact list of the trainees), she never responded, even though I started out just being friendly.
Did I mistake her comment?
