Am glad to see a continuation of sorts - the previous story ended suddenly on a bit of a cliffhanger with no real resolution. Obviously I do not expect the new story to directly address that, but I thought it was a nice concept that could use further exploration.
I also really like the excerpt from the article you included - a great way to provide backstory in an engaging way.
And it seems things are kicking off quite quickly on the second part... Lucille playing matchmaker perhaps?
Honestly both of them took the whole thing very much in stride. Then again, what is one to do when living in a haunted house?
Excited to see what new (or possibly old) direction you end up taking this 'reboot'!

But if you have forgotten, well, it just means more surprises for you I suppose

Actually you have read and commented on the previous version of this story (I had to double check to make sure I was not going crazy, but there it was: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=18556&start=50).

Like @Caesar73 I was not too familiar with the original. However this has been a really impressive read so far.
I like the style of writing and there are so many twists and turns this could take. The excerpts with the backstory too provide a lot of background information without it becoming a book in itself.
Looking forward to the next part and finding out more about this kinky haunted house. Nicely done!

And it won't, this is a start from scratch using some of what I wrote before, but twisted into a new thing.BlissfulMisery wrote: ↑5 months ago Obviously I do not expect the new story to directly address that, but I thought it was a nice concept that could use further exploration.

I am really enjoying the partial return of the 'documentary/found footage style' in the intermissions.
And it seems Lucille is not done with her 'victim'. Wonder if she will force the issue - or if she has a different game in mind.

It's a style I enjoy. Not just the 'found footage/video' stuff but the general story theme of breaking chapters up with passages from books or message exchanges/phonecalls. It's my new favourite way to writeBlissfulMisery wrote: ↑5 months ago I am really enjoying the partial return of the 'documentary/found footage style' in the intermissions.
As for Lucille, more below, soon.

Well I suppose it is 'unintentional matchmaker' then for Lucille!
The disjointed 'ghost logic' is interesting to follow too - it was present in the previous story of course, but it does nicely explain her erratic behavior.
Although interesting that she used El's equipment - no magical ghost ropes.
Waste not, want not, I suppose.
And it is a little amusing how both El and Sal really want to be the one tied up. Well, at least they are now roughly on the same page - I suppose being forced to interact and actually communicating helps!
But at this rate they will be asking Lucille to tie them both up together

That's just me dithering and changing my mind mid write, not sure of who I want to focus on and coming up with one idea following another regarding how to play it out.BlissfulMisery wrote: ↑5 months ago

Fair enough.
Seems Lucille can just never catch a break when it comes to getting her chance in the spotlight
But I understand the feeling of getting caught up in a new/different idea - better to let the river sweep you away then to try and fight the current.
Always a wise move
